A scheme to enable movers to sell their old home more quickly is helping buyers at a new development in Nunthorpe.
Bellway’s Express Mover scheme is available at the housebuilder’s Roseberry Manor development, off Great West Gardens, and has been popular with customers looking to take the stress out of selling their old place.
Express Mover involves Bellway working with a local estate agent to help find a buyer for a customer’s home, with the housebuilder also picking up the estate agent fees.
Martin Beckett and Mark Harland, both 33, were among the first residents to move into the development last August and used Express Mover to make the process less stressful.
Martin said: “Although moving is always a stressful task, our move was a lot easier since we did not have to sell the house ourselves and we could avoid the added costs of estate agent fees.
“Our sales advisor Ryan played a big part in us choosing this development. He made our viewing process so much more enjoyable. He was transparent and allowed us to view the completed homes at our own pace, without being pushy.”
More than 80 per cent of the 138 homes at Roseberry Manor have already been sold, with just 23 four and five-bedroom houses remaining for sale.
Homeowners interested in using Express Mover at the development are advised to book an appointment with the sales team.
Under the scheme, Bellway instructs a local estate agent to market the customer’s home on its behalf, at a price based on an independent valuation of the property. Bellway then provides owners with regular updates and once an offer has been accepted, they are able to reserve a new Bellway home.
After getting a buyer for their old home, Martin and Mark were able to purchase a four-bedroom detached Pine house type at Roseberry Manor.
Prices at Roseberry Manor start at £309,995 and Bellway expects the development to sell out by the end of the year, with construction due to come to an end next year.
